Titan Towers
A Titan Tower is a motivated well rounded, community oriented student that exemplifies being respectful, responsible, safe, present and prepared.
Your journey to achieving this high school milestone begins in your freshman year. Please know that this is a four year journey and every journey begins with one step forward in the right direction. Do not get discouraged with the process! If you believe it, you will achieve it.
A few hints to help you with this process: you will need 20 community services hours each year of high school, maintain a 3.0 cumulative (overall) grade point average, be involved in a club or sports, do not receive an F in any semester, and save all verification letters as proof of completion.

Titan for Excellence
Titans for Excellence has been established to recognize the many ways that students strive to uphold the Titan Expectations (Prepared, Present, Responsible, Safe, Respectful). On a monthly basis, teachers nominate students whom they feel best exemplify one or more of these areas. Nominated students will select a staff member to join them for lunch. At the lunch ceremony, students will receive a special certificate. Their picture will also appear in the yearbook and be displayed in the front lobby of the administration building.
Seniors
Participating in the graduation ceremony is a privilege, not a right. We expect our senior class to set an example for other students to emulate; therefore, we hold them to a higher standard. Graduating seniors will not be allowed to participate in the Orange Cove High School commencement ceremony for the following reasons:
-
Less than 90% overall attendance, excluding off-campus classes (i.e. college, ROP), for a maximum of 126 periods for the entire school year. Example 18 days of absences equals 126 class periods, 7 periods a day, based on 180 school days. Students who enter after the first day of school will have their attendance prorated according to the number of days enrolled.
-
Any office discipline referrals during the second semester of the school year.
-
Any suspension (in school or out of school) during the school year.
-
Early graduation.
-
California High School Proficiency Exam, CHSPE or General Education Diploma, GED. If you take the CHSPE or GED and you pass, you are eligible to participate in the Alternative Education ceremony. In order to participate, you are responsible for contacting the Alternative Education Office, at (559) 305-7185.
-
Any unpaid fees or fines.
CAPS AND GOWNS
Graduating seniors are required to wear a cap and gown at the graduation ceremony. Students have the option to purchase a new cap/gown/tassel/stole from Jostens. Orange Cove High School will reserve a cap/gown/tassel/stole for your use during the ceremony upon receipt of your completed “Cap and Gown Reservation Form.” These items must be returned unaltered and undamaged after the graduation ceremony.
